Yoga for MS

The course of multiple sclerosis is unpredictable. People with MS can live for decades without progression of symptoms. Lifestyle factors, like smoking, alcohol, and a sedentary lifestyle, are thought to speed up the progression of MS, while certain forms of exercise may help slow it down.

Yoga has helped many MS sufferers manage their condition. Yoga develops a natural resistance to stress, calms the nervous system, and improves circulation and respiration. Yoga for MS also helps relieve muscle tension and spasticity, and it has  been reported to improve organ function, including bowel and bladder, and increase overall well-being.
